Current research projects coordination includes FIBRE Testbed Network Project, an EU-FP7/ CNPQ cooperating project (BR-EU) involving 16 Brazilian and 6 European institutions for establishing an intercontinental network testbed for advanced FI (Future Internet) applications experimentation, RePAF (Resource Provisioning and Allocation Framework) and INNOVACITY Multi-Institutional research Project. More than 170 research contributions in journals, conferences, book, book chapters and technical reports. Previously worked as Invited Professor at Université Paris VI (UPMC) and Institut National des Télécommunications (INT) in France and as key speaker, teacher and invited lecturer in various international congresses and companies in Brazil, US and Europe. Active presence at R&D International Community as current member of the EUC CHIST-ERA Research Projects Evaluation Committee with ANR (Agence Nationale de la Recherche), France. IEEE Senior Member and chair of the IEEE CGAA (Committee on Global Accreditation Activities) (2014 – 2017), member of IEEE Steering and Research Committees on Smart Grid, Member of IEEE Smart City Technical Activities Committee, President (2010 – 2011) of IEEE Bahia Section and Member of the IEEE COMSOC Awards Committee (2009 – 2011). IFIP (International Federation for Information Process) member of IFIP 3.6 (Distance Education) and IFIP 3.2 (Higher Education) (2002 – actual). Prof. Dr. Joberto Martins published 24 papers in periodicals, 100 papers in events, 1 book, 12 book chapters and various technical reports. He participated in the evelopment of 378 technological products. He supervised 1 doctoral thesis, 40 master’s dissertations, 4 PosDoc and received 07 awards. Currently coordinates 06 research projects.
